Challenge
Most South Africans can’t afford private healthcare, with the majority lacking medical aid. Only around 16% of the population has medical cover, and even then, benefits often run out quickly.
Private consultations can cost anywhere from R400 to R1,200 per visit, placing ongoing treatment out of reach for many. Families are forced to stop care too soon, while practitioners are pressured to deliver results in one or two sessions.
At the same time, healthcare providers are under mounting financial, political, and economic pressure. Many struggle to sustain their practices, especially in underserved areas, or are forced to move abroad in search of stability.
Our Solution
Sofi Health & Wellness was created as a practical, national solution. By lowering consultation costs through membership, patients can afford to continue treatment, seek multiple opinions, and follow through on complete care plans.
For practitioners, Sofi Health & Wellness provides a steady flow of patients at fair rates, professional development through free CPD, and structured referrals that encourage collaboration instead of competition.
The result is a healthcare model that improves access, affordability, and sustainability, while keeping clinical autonomy with practitioners.
